    I was very inspired not only to knit this in honor of America’s foremost distance educator, Fred Rogers, but also his mother, who made a hand knit sweater every month for as long as he could remember (https://www.rewire.org/sweaters-sneakers-rogers-neighborh...). So I too made this in under a month, with my wife Karey64 helping sew the zipper in.

    Should be noted that I made a second sweater off this pattern in Blue (same yarn). It started in late August 2021, and was completed in December 2022. Many imperfections on it, but that was fitting for the time frame as it was one of a lot of personal challenges. Made it in the medium size, because after loosing 100 pounds, the red version really looked too big.
