TempoPilot

TempoPilot is a smarter way to listen to music when you don’t want your playlist to run out—or play the same order every time. Instead of building one long static playlist, TempoPilot lets you create structured listening flows using simple blocks. A block might play a few songs in a specific order, pull random tracks from a playlist you choose, or keep playing random music until you decide to move on. You can define blocks by number of songs, length of time, or manual control, which means your music adapts to what you’re doing rather than forcing you to adapt to the playlist.

Origin

Originally designed for workouts, TempoPilot is perfect for runs, gym sessions, cycling, or interval training where you want a warm-up, a main set, and a cooldown without constantly fiddling with your phone. But it’s just as useful for everyday listening. You can build flows like “start with three calm songs, then shuffle my focus playlist for an hour, then finish with two wind-down tracks,” or “play random road-trip music until I tap Finish.” Because TempoPilot uses Apple Music and standard playback controls, it behaves like a normal music app—working with lock screen controls, headphones, and car audio systems.

TempoPilot also keeps track of what actually played during each session. If a particular mix of songs carried you through a great run, a productive work session, or a long drive, you can save or replay the exact sequence later, or copy the track list to your notes or social media. In short, TempoPilot turns ordinary playlists into dynamic listening experiences—part DJ, part workout companion, and part music journal.
