http://www.petri.co.il/forcibly_removin Daniel Petri has published a great write-up on forcily removing AD from a DC using dcpromo. If I had had this informtion about 2 weeks ago, I would have gotten more sleep during the migration! I was forced to use ntdsutil to transfer all AD roles to the DC in question, then delete out all other DCs in the domain. Ugh. Any AD techies out there, enjoy.
